JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong drives a sporty Italian Lamborghini Murciélago. His LP-640 model in particular is a 12-cylinder vehicle which boasts a 6.5 liter engine that produces 640 horsepower. It goes from 0 to 60 in an impressive 3.4 seconds and rides as fast as 205 mph. Estimated price in Korea for this vehicle is around $445,000 USD.
Kim Junsu‘s ride also accelerates to 60 mph in a matter of 3.4 seconds. He drives a Ferrari ‘458 Italia‘, whose 8-cylinder, 4.5 liter engine produces 570 horsepower. It drives as fast as 200 mph, and the starting price for this Italian stallion is $337,000.
Fellow member Park Yoochun also drives a Ferrari. His ‘California‘ is a 4-seater convertible which boasts a 8-cylinder, 4.3 liter engine that produces 460 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds, and drives as fast as 192 mph. Starting price is $311,000.
Actor Jang Geun Suk who is known for being a automobile fanatic is known to have recently ordered an Audi R8 V10. The model comes with a 5.2 liter engine, accelerates from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds and rides as fast as 194 mph. Starting price is $209,000.
Big Bang‘s G-Dragon also drives a luxury car, a Bentley Continental GT. This model in particular boasts a 6.0 liter engine and the starting price is $254,000. The car can produce 575 horsepower and the vehicle weighing more than 2 tons can accelerate from 0 to 60 in a mere 4.6 seconds. It drives as fast as 197 mph.

2NE1, Big Bang, & Se7en send their Lunar New Year greetings
Gaining much recognition world wide the past year, the artists of YG Entertainment discussed with OSEN their dreams and visions for 2012, as well as sending their Lunar New Year greetings to fans.
Last year, 2NE1 received spotlight from not only within Korea, but from all over the world. Examples include their special coverage on the English network BBC, as well as their win on MTV Iggy as the ‘Best New Band in the World’. Their comeback within Korea also garnered much attention for their unique and fierce style showcased through songs like “It Hurts”, “Lonely”, and “I am the Best”.
The members of 2NE1 greeted their fans for the Lunar New Year, stating, “Hello! What’s up 2NE1! Have a blessed Lunar New Years. We are planning great things for this upcoming year, so please look forward to that. In 2012, we will work to become an even better 2NE1. We thank you for always cheering us on, and please be healthy!”
Their labelmate, Big Bang, also had a wild ride of a year in 2011. They have entered 2012 with renewed vigor by preparing a comeback filled with unique and powerful performances.
As 2012 is the year of the dragon, G-Dragon and Taeyang (both born in the year of the dragon), spoke as the representatives of the group. G-Dragon stated, “We will work hard to live up to our group name, Big Bang. We will do our best with the heart of a new group”.
Taeyang added, “We will become the best in the world. Please continue to watch us.”
Se7en, one of the pillars of YG Entertainment, recently released a single album in Japan for the first time after a 4 year hiatus of promotions in Japan. YG Entertainment officially announced the comeback of Big Bang for the first time.
At 12am on January 21st, a picture of the logo of Big Bang with the words on top that read ‘BIG BANG IS COMING’ was posted on YG Life, a blog reporting the news on YG’s own artists.
YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk as well as Big Bang member Taeyang had discussed the comeback of Big Bang previously but this is the first time that YG mentions the comeback of Big Bang through the official blog where Korean and international fans alike are able to come into contact with YG Entertainment artists’ news. This can be viewed as an official announcement of Big Bang’s comeback.
All eyes on YG Entertainment as they officially announce the comeback of Big Bang. YG Entertainment has always employed fresh and new methods to mark the comeback of its artists.
A YG Entertainment representative revealed to Star News, “We are not able to reveal detailed plans currently but it is for sure that Big Bang’s comeback promotions will be the largest scale yet for YG."
In a recently interview with Star News, Big Bang member Taeyang had also revealed, “Currently the plan is to have a ‘Big Show’ performance around March. Around that time Big Bang’s new album should be released, not sure whether it will be a full album or if it will be a mini album then a full album.”
It is said that the five members of Big Bang; G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung, and Seungri already have many songs ready that they have worked on while on hiatus. The agency representative said, “The Big Bang members, who have undergone ups and downs and have taken time for self-reflection last year, have been devoting themselves to music, while remembering their first resolution.” The rep continued, “The fruits of their efforts will be unveiled soon.”
Many are arguing that all things are pointing to a February comeback, sooner than guessed earlier. Big Bang released their special album with ‘Love Song’ back in April on 2011 so it would make it a 10 month gap between the release of the albums if they do come back in February.
Big Bang are performing at the Saitama Super Arena on January 21st and 22nd for the YG Anniversary Concert, together with other YG Entertainment artists.

Yang Hyun Suk promises, “This year, I will do my very best for Big Bang”
A representative of YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk stated that he will have the upmost enthusiasm and pour his heart out for Big Bang’s comeback in February of 2012.
In OSEN’s recent phone conversation with Yang’s representative, it was stated, “This year’s first priority is Big Bang…I want to do everything I can for Big Bang. Even though there are preparations for new groups, we have almost been fully occupied with Big Bang’s music, so the plans [for the new groups] have been running late.” The debut of YG’s new groups, which were originally planned for the spring of this year, have a high probability of being pushed back to the second half of the year.
Big Bang had a difficult year in 2011. In February, the mini-album that they released for the first time in 2 years achieved an all-kill on the charts as they were off to a refreshing start, and they even stood in the limelight in overseas performances in Japan.
However, promotions were halted for Daesung after his involvement in a sudden car accident in May, and G-Dragon, who was on the brink of beginning his solo promotions, was swept in a marijuana smoking controversy in October. Although the issue was cleared after the Seoul District Public Prosecutor’s Office declared that G-Dragon’s suspension of indictment was cleared, in reality, Big Bang as a whole announced a period of “self-reflection” and became engrossed with working on their new album.
About this, Yang’s representative stated, “The past year was the hardest year for YG, and you could say that it was a time of crises,” adding, “Just as injuries leave scars and mistakes leave lessons learned, not just I, but all the members of Big Bang, have become much more aware and have reflected a lot after going through these events. I think that this time spent will be something that Big Bang will have with them as they move forward, that will act like a good medicine.”
YG’s figurehead Big Bang has already given notice of their February comeback today. Prior to this, it was often commonplace for Big Bang’s comeback to be later than originally planned, but YG boastfully assured that this time, “there is absolutely no way that will happen.”
Yang’s representative stated, “During the time of self-reflection, the members of Big Bang even worked on Sundays to the point where they practically lived in the studio, and they were completely absorbed in their music. The Big Bang members were so busy that even I didn’t get to see their faces very much, but when I did spend time with them together, I felt happy." It was added, “As we were having our time of self-reflection, I learned the lesson that during [Big Bang’s] new album preparations, we shouldn’t have other scheduled plans.”
Yang has great expectations for Big Bang’s new album. It was confidently stated, “The five members immersed themselves in their music with one heart during these past months, so there are many products and as one, they are great. This year, Big Bang will release more songs than ever and do many promotions."
Big Bang and JYJ, most wanted on TV for Lunar New Year holiday
An online lecture website conducted a survey on "Which boy bands are most wanted on TV during the Lunar New Year's holiday?". The survey had 1173 participants.
The survey results placed Big Bang at first place with 556 votes which was 48% of all the votes. JYJ came in second with 173 votes (15% of all the votes).
It was commented that, "It has been a long time since Big Bang appeared on TV. Even at the music awards ceremonies held at the end of the year, Big Bang did not make an appearance, because of some problems. Therefore, the fans are hoping to see the group at least during the Lunar New Year's day."
Also, for JYJ, it was said that, "Because it is only possible to see JYJ on commercials here and there and at their concerts, the fans' hope to see them on TV is growing."
Meanwhile, Big Bang is scheduled for their comeback in March, and JYJ is scheduled for their world tour concerts in Chile and Peru on March 9th and 11th.

Big Bang on Music Station
With YG Entertainment's confirmation of BIGBANG's comeback in full effect this February, it has been revealed BIGBANG will be set to perform on famous Japanese music program, 'TV Asahi's 'Music Station'. The date of this upcoming performance is January 20th. The boys' first stop will be an appearance in Japan, which is taking place ahead of their official Korean comeback music stage.
This performance signifies the first solo performance for BIGBANG as fivemembers, since Daesung's car accident back in May 2011 and G-Dragon's marjiuana scandle in October 2011. The lucky VIPs who were able to witness the BIG5 perform together again at the YG Family Concert was something of a spetacular and unforgettable sight. K-Pop is expected to see more rosy days this year, as long-awaited boy groups are planning to make their comebacks come spring.
Two of the most anticipated boy groups, Big Bang and Shinhwa, will be coming back in March with new albums.
To Big Bang, this comeback means more than any of its others. Last year, member Daesung was involved in a car crash with staggering consequences, while G-Dragon was put on probation after being charged for smoking marijuana, rendering the group unable to stand in front of the public for some time.
Big Bang′s successful career in Korea and the world, which had been strong since even before the group made its debut in 2006, was hit hard by these incidents.
Still, while the group was on hiatus, it managed to become the first Korean group to win an award at the MTV Europe Awards, and the group even flew over to fly over to Belfast to claim the award on a televised broadcast. YG Entertainment had decided that because it was such an honorable occasion, it wouldn’t be polite to miss it.
But even despite these successes, Big Bang’s hiatus dealt a great blow, because the group had to stay underground in a period when the K-Pop boom was just starting to spread through the world supported by various social network services.
While other groups such as Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, Kara, 2PM and Wonder Girls continued to build their careers overseas, Big Bang had to stand aside and watch.
Fortunately, the time to rest has finally come to a close, and Big Bang reemerged as one in the 15th Anniversary YG Family Concert held near the close of 2011. In February, Big Bang will release a new album and actually start promoting, starting with its exclusive concert Big Show to be held from March 2-4 in Seoul.

Pop culture critic Kang Tae Gyu told enews, “In March, the trend-leading group Big Bang and the long-running idol group Shinhwa will be meeting each other for a fierce competition, but for music fans, it will be a time when they’ll be able to listen to a greater variety of songs.”

BIGBANG's thankful speech in YG Family Concert
On the 7th, South Korean hiphop group BIGBANG resumed their activities in Japan, performing at Kyocera Dome in Osaka for YG Ent’s music event “YG Family Concert in JAPAN”. Member D-Lite (22) made a flashy comeback after halting his activities due to a road accident last year.
With their backs turned, all 5 members of BIGBANG descended from a gondola up in the air to the stage, earning the biggest and loudest cheers from the audience that night. 90% of the audience were female fans. During G-Dragon’s raps and D-LITE’s solo parts in “TONIGHT”, the entire dome resounded with the loudest screams. GD breaking the guitar and the 5 of them singing the chorus together with the fans, it was similar to them getting wounded and being reborn.
Last year, after holding their Japan tour in May, D-LITE got into a road accident and was immediately put into a hiatus. Then on October, it was reported that in July, GD was interrogated by the police for Marijuana use. The news made him take a temporary halt in his activities. After 8 months, the two finally appeared on stage in front of the Japanese fans after a long while. “Everyone, I apologize for making you worry. From now on, I’ll do my best,” GD promised. Earlier this morning, Big Bang was spotted at the Kimpo International Airport on their way to Japan for the “15th Anniversary YG Family Concert.” A photographer for a local media snapped a photo of G-Dragon as he was walking towards the gate. In the photo, G-Dragon is holding his passport by his face in order to avoid the camera flashes. What’s interesting about the photo is the fan letter inside his passport.
G-Dragon and his fans are well-known for having a special relationship. Last year, the multi-talented Big Bang leader announced that he will not be accepting birthday gifts from his fans in order to lessen the burden. Instead, his fans donated $20,000 to a hospital. Moved by his fans’ good deeds, G-Dragon decided to donate another $50,000 to the same hospital. Looks like G-Dragon takes every fan’s love and support very seriously. No wonder he has such a large fan base!
In related news, G-Dragon has been featured in Singapore's "The Straits Times" for his great sense of style on December 31, 2011. G-Dragon’s name is listed within the top 10 of the “Men of Style” segment, right above British heartthrob Colin Firth.
Meanwhile, Big Bang and other YG artists will be performing at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka Japan this weekend, January 7-8, in front of an anticipated crowd of 80,000.
YG Entertainment hints at an earlier comeback for Big Bang
For the past month, Big Bang has been dropping hints on their March comeback. According to industry officials, however, the boys could be making their return a month earlier than expected.
The boys had planned to release an album ahead of their ‘Big Show‘ concert in March. Officials believe that in order for this to be possible, their album has to be released by late February at the latest.
Taeyang recently revealed to Star News, “We’re planning for our ‘Big Show’ concert in March, and around that time, Big Bang will release a new album. Whether it’s an official studio album or a mini-album has yet to be decided.”
Officials have been noticing that YG Entertainment has been pooling all of their resources into Big Bang’s comeback album lately. They’ve been rushing to enlist music video directors and have concentrated their staff on its release.
Additionally, the members have already recorded a number of new songs together over their hiatus, thus lending weight to the claims made by officials that the album may be released by mid-February at the earliest.

YG Entertainment will most likely rake in a revenue of over $26,000,000 USD after performing in two cities in Japan.
The artists of YG Entertainment are currently in preparations of the Japanese portion of their ‘YG 15th Anniversary Family Concert‘ tour, and they will be performing in front of 80,000 fans over the course of two shows (7th & 8th) at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, as well as 80,000 more fans at the Super Arena in Saitama.
Each ticket sold for over $160, and ticket sales from their Japanese shows alone will most likely be over $26,000,000. This of course, doesn’t include the revenue they will also bring in from the concert merchandise.
This is the result of building YG awareness in Japan for the past 7 years, beginning with singer Se7en‘s Japanese debut in 2005. This is the first time in six years YG is putting on a family concert in Japan. The last was held back in August of 2006, when they sold out both performances in Tokyo and Osaka.
This family concert tour is especially meaningful, as it is the first after the establishment of ‘YGEX‘ in conjunction with Japanese record label AVEX. And although it is the first family concert in six years, it was obvious that the fans’ love and support for the YG Entertainment has only grown since.
Ahead of their Japanese performances, the YG artists completed their national shows at Olympic Stadium in Seoul with performances by Jinusean, Gummy, Big Bang, Se7en, 2NE1, as well as the newer family members Psy and Tablo. The performances were met with an explosive reaction from fans.
The YG artists wrapped up their rehearsals on the 2nd, and will be heading over to Japan.
